Purpose

Jerome Bettis' CyberBus was created to bridge the digital divide and ensure that all children, regardless of background, have access to computer science education. As technology continues to shape the future, digital literacy is no longer optional—it is essential. Through hands-on, engaging STEM learning experiences, the CyberBus empowers students in underserved communities with the skills they need to thrive in the 21st-century digital economy.

How Does It Work?

Jerome Bettis' CyberBus is a state-of-the-art mobile classroom equipped with Wi-Fi, laptops, robotics kits, and interactive learning tools. It travels to trusted afterschool programs and community centers, delivering engaging computer science and STEM instruction led by expert educators. Through collaborative, real-world learning experiences, the CyberBus introduces students to coding, problem-solving, and technology innovation—helping prepare the next generation for future careers in the digital economy.

Expanding the Program

In 2026, the Foundation launched a second Jerome Bettis' CyberBus in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania, expanding access to STEM education and allowing the program to reach more students across the region.
